Ocimum Tenuiflorum (Holy Basil) is a plant native to India where it is known as Tulsi. It is known to treat many conditions, from eye diseases to ringworms. Numerous studies support the use of the entire plant. It’s therapeutic value is that it is high in nutrients such as Vitamin A and C, Calcium, Zinc, Iron and Chlorophyll (2). Ocimum Tenuiflorum has also been studied as an adaptogen (3). An adaptogen is a natural substance that helps your body adapt to stress and promotes mental balance. Each recommended daily dose of Ultra Nature Immune Defence contains a therapeutic dose of 3000 mg of Ocimum Tenuiflorum.

Why does Ultra Nature Immune Defence contain a yeast in its formula?

The yeast found in Ultra Nature Immune Defence is called Saccharomyces cerevisiae. This is the most common yeast used in food fermentation. Saccharomyces cerevisiae contains beta-glucans found in the cell wall and belongs to a group of sugars known as polysaccharides. Ultra Nature Immune Defence uses Wellmune™ as the source of Beta Glucan in its formulation. Beta Glucan is an immune modulator that trains the body to defend against pathogens.
