About Ultra Nature

Dr Sam Megalli has over 25 years of pharmaceutical experience in many areas including clinical, management, academia and medical research. He is a senior pharmaceutical executive and during his career he has led numerous successful roles in retail pharmacy, teaching institutions, aged care and pharmaceutical industry.

In 1994, Dr Megalli graduated from the University of Sydney, Faculty of Pharmacy with Honours degree. He undertook further studies and medical research and completed his PhD in 2004 also from the University of Sydney. Dr Megalli has worked with world-renowned professors and was involved in medical research in various fields including Asthma, hyperlipidaemia, diabetes, atherosclerosis, pharmacology and herbal medicine. This has involved animal, in vitro and enzyme assay studies and led to many scientific publications.

Dr Megalli was also employed as an academic at the University of Sydney, Faculty of Pharmacy as a Lecturer and Course Coordinator in the area of Pharmacotherapeutics teaching 4th-year pharmacy students as well as the Master of Pharmacy course. 

For over 20 years, Dr Megalli has also managed and owned many community pharmacies and worked as a consultant pharmacist conducting numerous medication reviews for community patients as well as aged care residents. Furthermore, he has been providing consultant work for many aged care facilities since 2000 and sits on several Medical Advisory Committees.

In 2018, Dr Megalli established Selima Pharmaceuticals and founded the brand Ultra Nature formulating many unique products. These products have been distributed locally and internationally in countries such as Vietnam, Cambodia and China.

Michael Parker has over 25 years of experience in sales and marketing management in the health, pharmaceutical and beauty industry. Having his own personal health journey, he is very passionate and knowledgeable about healthy living and personal well-being.    

With a foundation in marketing, he began in market research, working on diverse projects across industries. He transitioned to consumer marketing at Panasonic and joined Indigo Cosmetics, where he excelled as a marketing manager, propelling fragrances and cosmetics to success. Progressing his career in sales, he has orchestrated the global expansion of brands and has managed sales teams for the likes of PharmaCare Laboratories and Australian Pharmaceutical Industries.

He has extensive knowledge of the market and is well-connected with industry leaders.

Frank has over 30 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry and has worked for large multi-nationals such as Reckitt Benckiser and AstraZeneca, as well as local contract manufacturers such as Lipa Pharmaceuticals, Sphere Healthcare and Tismor Health and Wellness.

Frank has vast experience in all matters of GMP, Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs.

Frank is instrumental in assisting Ultra Nature and Selima Pharmaceutical with submission of TGA applications and all regulatory affairs.

Joanne Completed her Bachelor’s degree in Medical Science, majoring in Nutrition and Food. Joanne brings extensive sales and business development experience in the Practitioner space in the OTC Pharmaceuticals industry and previously held positions in Territory management with Swisse and Bioceuticals. Joanne loves to look at health in a holistic and natural way. 

Stemming from her holistic approach to health, Joanne is also qualified in Bikram Yoga and as a Hot HIIT Pilates instructor. Her Passions are in physical practice of Yoga, Pilates and meditation and her hobbies include nature walks and deep discussions on holistic health.

Natalie is a qualified Naturopath, Nutritional Medicine and Western Herbal Medicine Practitioner who has worked within the pharmacy industry for 10 years. An experienced business development and territory manager who has previously worked for Sanofi, Lifespace and Swisse. Natalie has a passion for training and educating on vitamin and herbal supplements. Natalie is also a myotherapist and has worked with amateur AFL Clubs for over a decade optimising their performance and injury management programs. 

I have worked in both mainstream medicine as an Enrolled nurse, in Pharmacy as the Store Manager and in complementary medicine as a Naturopath.

I have a BHSc (Naturopathy), graduating from Endeavour College Perth in 2015. Since then I have worked with herbal and nutritional companies as a Practitioner Consultant Representative in pharmacy, health food stores and integrative GP’s while continuing to see clients at Robyn Proud Naturopathy Clinic.

Christie has over 7 years of retail experience in pharmacy sales, having worked in many pharmacies in Sydney. Christie is also currently in her final year of completing a law degree.
