Quercetin (Quercetin Dihydrate)

Quercetin is a plant flavanol from the flavonoid group polyphenols. Polyphenols are antioxidants help reducing free radical formation and its damaging effect on the body. Ocimum Tenuiflorum (Holy Basil) is a plant native to India where it is known as Tulsi. It is known to treat many conditions, from eye diseases to ringworms. Numerous studies support the use of the entire plant. It’s therapeutic value is that it is high in nutrients such as Vitamin A and C, Calcium, Zinc, Iron and Chlorophyll (2). Ocimum Tenuiflorum has also been studied as an adaptogen (3). An adaptogen is a natural substance that helps your body adapt to stress and promotes mental balance. Each recommended daily dose of Ultra Nature Immune Defence contains a therapeutic dose of 3000 mg of Ocimum Tenuiflorum.

Why does Ultra Nature Immune Defence contain a yeast in its formula?

The yeast found in Ultra Nature Immune Defence is called Saccharomyces cerevisiae. This is the most common yeast used in food fermentation. Saccharomyces cerevisiae contains beta-glucans found in the cell wall and belongs to a group of sugars known as polysaccharides. Ultra Nature Immune Defence uses Wellmune™ as the source of Beta Glucan in its formulation. Beta Glucan is an immune modulator that trains the body to defend against pathogens. It does this by adjusting the normal immune response to respond more effectively when a pathogen has been detected (4). Each recommended daily dose of Ultra Nature Immune Defence contains a therapeutic dose of 250 mg of Saccharomyces Cerevisiae.

Does Ultra Nature Immune Defence contain the ingredient Andrographis?

Ultra Nature Immune Defence does not contain any Andrographis hence is safer to use daily. Andrographis may trigger severe allergic reactions and needs to be taken only for short term with caution.
