Calcium Citrate

Calcium citrate is used to maintain Calcium levels in the body. Calcium is necessary for many normal functions of the body. This essential mineral supports the bones, heart, muscles, and collagen formation.

We use the citrate form of calcium which is absorbed more easily than the calcium carbonate. Calcium citrate is better absorbed regardless of when taken with or without food. Vitamin D3 (Colecalciferol)

Vitamin K2 (Menaquinone 7)

Magnesium (Magnesium Citrate)

What is the ingredient Menaquinone-7 and why is it included?

Menaquinone is commonly known as Vitamin K. Vitamin K is categorised as K1 and K2. Vitamin K1 (Phylloquinone) is found in plant foods like leafy greens but has no meaningful benefits to our body. Vitamin K2 (Menaquinone), on the other hand, is found in animal foods and fermented foods and, in studies, has been observed to generally improve bone and heart health. Vitamin K2 plays an important role in that it activates calcium-binding in the proteins that help to build and maintain strong bones. We always hear about needing healthy levels of Vitamin D3 so that you can absorb the calcium that you digest in your body. Well, further to that, you also need healthy levels of Vitamin K2 so that the Calcium that gets absorbed is actually targeted to building and maintaining strong bones, instead of calcification in your blood vessels. Menaquinone-7 (MK-7) has been shown to play a vital role in the prevention of bone loss in animal model for osteoporosis and human subjects (1). Each recommended daily dose of Ultra Nature Bone Strength and Restore contains a therapeutic dose of 90 mg of Menaquinone 7, equivalent to 180 micrograms of Vitamin K2.

Why does Bone Strength & Restore contain Vitamin D3 and Vitamin K2?

Vitamin D3, (Colecalciferol), is a fat-soluble vitamin that increases intestinal calcium and phosphate absorption. It has also been associated with: – Building bones and keeping them strong – Improving mood – Boosting immunity – Reducing inflammation – Improving heart function Vitamin K2 has been found to contribute to skin health, bone metabolism, and proper heart function. Its main function, however, is to regulate calcium metabolism. It aids in bone formation and inhibits blood vessel calcification. Combined together, Vitamins D3 and K2 play an important role in regulating calcium levels. This ensures that the blood contains an adequate amount of calcium for bodily functions like building bone, maximising bone strength and inhibiting blood vessel calcification (2). Each recommended daily dose of Ultra Nature Bone Strength and Restore contains a therapeutic dose of 25 micrograms of Colecalciferol, which is 1000 IU Vitamin D3.
