Thyme Extract (Thymus Vulgaris)
Thymus Vulgaris is a herb in the mint family. It is known to have anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and antioxidant effects that may be useful in treating everything from intestinal infections to skin conditions.
Extracted from Thyme leaves. Thyme Vulgaris can be used fresh or dried, or it can be distilled into an essential oil for aromatherapy. Thyme is also sold as a dietary supplement in liquid or capsule form. The herb can be used in teas, mouthwashes, and nasal sprays.
Urinary tract infection
Thyme has long been used as a home remedy for cough, bronchitis, and other respiratory conditions. It is can also be taken orally to treat a chest infection or inhaled to open airways. There is some clinical evidence of these effects (1). Researchers have concluded that Thymus Vulgaris has a strong anti-microbial effect (2). A recent study has concluded that Thymus Vulgaris oil formulation can be proposed as a possible spasmolytic and antispastic tool in medicine (3). Studies have found Thymus Vulgaris to exhibit antimicrobial, antioxidant, anticarcinogenesis, anti-inflammatory, and antispasmodic activities, as well as a potential as a growth enhancer and immunomodulator (4).

This product is classified as a food supplement due to the Manuka Honey Content, hence it does not require TGA Approval.

As per TGA guidelines, an adult dose is suitable for individuals 18 years and older.
How should I store my vitamins and supplements?
We recommend referring to the label for safe storage guidance. In general, with any supplement, it is always recommend that you store them at an average room temperature of 25°C and you must not store them in direct sunlight or near heat.
