Hedera Helix, also known as English Ivy, is an evergreen plant which is used for its medicinal properties. The leaves of the plant is used in medicinal preparations and can assist in respiratory conditions such as bronchial swelling, cough and congestion.

Evidence Summary
Current research suggests that Ivy Leaf extract may be effective for early symptoms of upper respiratory tract infections including a decrease in the frequency of night coughs and improved sleep quality (1). Systematic Review of Clinical Trials Assessing the Effectiveness of Ivy Leaf (Hedera Helix) for Acute Upper Respiratory Tract Infections concluded that ivy extracts are effective for reducing symptoms of URTI (2). Ivy Leaf extract has been found to contain 5-8% saponins which are effective in clearing, thinning and loosening mucous from the chest (3). Ivy Leaf extract in the form of syrup and of cough drops was confirmed as an effective and safe treatment of cough in children (4).

As per TGA guidelines, an adult dose is suitable for individuals 18 years and older.
How should I store my vitamins and supplements?
We recommend referring to the label for safe storage guidance. In general, with any supplement, it is always recommend that you store them at an average room temperature of 25°C and you must not store them in direct sunlight or near heat.
